The new Beraca Church building in May of 2009. Our church worked with two others (in Maine and CA) to build this structure, and our church raised all the money to put the roof on. It will now be the hurricane shelter for the barrio, a poor neighborhood outside of La Romana, Dominican Republic. A shelter in time of storm, as well as a new place for worship for the Beraca mission church.
Missions
Our church sends out mission teams each year. We have sent mission teams to La Romana in the Dominican Republic every year since 2004. We have sent teams to Oklahoma twice, working at a Baptist camp for Native American youth. In 2007 a team traveled to Arizona to put a new roof on a Baptist church on Hopi Reservation.

We also support many other local and international ministries financially and with volunteer work:
ABC International Ministries – American Baptists support about 200 missionaries in over 50 countries around the world, and support good working relationships with believers around the world.
ABCOPAD Regional Ministries – a large part of our mission giving helps the ministry of the American Baptist Churches in Pa. and Del. We bring churches and individuals together for worship, education and ministries, encourage churches to find God-honoring solutions to difficult problems, train pastors, provide fellowship, help plant churches and do a host of other things to honor God and to advance His Kingdom.
Chosen Peoples Ministry – this group brings together Jews and Gentiles who are seeking to present Yeshua the Messiah to God’s chosen people.
Church Leadership Institute – this training program educates lay people in the Bible, theology and practical ministry so that they can be more effective servants in their churches.
Frontiers – this mission agency is one of the few that work exclusively with Muslims all around the world.
Glad Tidings – this amazing ministry plants churches, runs literacy and employment training programs in order to spread the gospel in India.
Habitat for Humanity – we support this good work financially, and occasionally with volunteer work.
Human Life Services – we work with them to help meet the spiritual, emotional and material needs of both the mother and child in a crisis pregnancy; and, by educating the public, to prevent unwanted pregnancies.
India Bible Literature - India Bible Literature is an inter-denominational para-church organization whose objective is to reach every home in India with the Word of God.
Logos Academy - this is an excellent community school in the city of York. They provide a Christ-centered, classical intercultural education, training future leaders of the York community. http://www.logosyork.org/
Operation Christmas Child – every year we work with Samaritan’s Purse to provide shoe boxes full of gifts and the gospel to children around the world at Christmas. In 2006 we provided about 140 boxes.
Palmer Theological Seminary – formerly Eastern Seminary, this is one of the main training institutions for ABC pastors in this part of the country.
United Mission Basic – our denominational support helps with evangelism, church planting, training, social work ministries, prayer work and other ministries within the United States.
York County Prison Ministry – we support the chaplaincy and other ministries at the York County Prison.
York Rescue Mission – along with regular financial support, every other month we provide a dinner and a worship service.
